Wessex DriveAbility is an independent charity and one of 17, DVLA accredited Driving Mobility Centres. Based in Southampton with outreaches in Salisbury, Basingstoke, Ferndown and the Isle of Wight, they aim to enable individuals to commence, continue or return to driving in order to maintain an independent lifestyle.
Using specially qualified Occupational Therapists and Approved Driving Instructors, they offer Fitness to Drive and Adaptation assessments, to those with a medical condition, disability or injury which may affect their ability to drive safely.
Older Drivers Forum
The Older Drivers Forum is about keeping mature motorists on the road safely for longer. Whether that’s helping to give practical and informative help and support to continue driving or pointing older drivers in the right direction for an appraisal or assessment for their driving needs.
